In Loving Memory…
Country Squire
Country Squire was born in Woodstock, Ontario Canada at a well regarded dachshund kennel where he was among the very first offspring of imported English Cream longhaired dachshunds outside of England. At age 3 he and a female with whom he had bred were sold as a breeding pair along with two of their cream female young puppies to a major quality dachshund kennel in South Carolina to begin their line of creams. I adopted him from them just prior to his turning 9 when he was retired having produced over a half dozen international champions, many US champions, and countless puppies. One of his progeny won best in class at the Wesminster Dog show and another has been featured on Hallmark greeting cards. He was a quiet, gentle, dog who only raised a fuss when he wanted to eat and I was not feeding him fast enough. His beautiful face was iconic and I’ll miss having him with us.
RIP, Country Squire.
